Email delivery

Email Delivery settings can be found in the Hoxhunt Admin Portal at https://admin.hoxhunt.com/settings/email-delivery.

These settings allow you to configure the email delivery as part of your technical implementation.

Hoxhunt sender IP addresses

When you need to use IP-based allowlisting in either your email environment, a third-party email filter, or another tool that may impact the Hoxhunt training, you can retrieve the IPs from the Email Delivery settings.

Gmail API Delivery

When you are ensuring mail delivery in Gmail, we recommend that you use the Gmail API Delivery method. Read more here: Configuring Gmail API Delivery

NOTE: This setting is only visible to Google Workspace customers.

DKIM domain

When you need to use a DKIM domain for allowlisting purposes, you can retrieve it from the Email Delivery Settings. This is the case for example when you need to allowlist in Outlook environments, read more here: Configuring Advanced Delivery for Hoxhunt

Custom mail routing

This feature allows you to create a specific route for emails coming from Hoxhunt, rather than following the usual path through the internet-facing MX record. This setting is often used when bypassing a third-party security filter.

If you need per-domain custom mail routing, please contact Hoxhunt support.

Custom header identifier

Add a custom email header to all Hoxhunt training emails for example when you cannot use IP allowlisting and need to create mail flow rules based on another attribute.

Custom email body identifier

Add a hidden text element to body section of all Hoxhunt training emails so that they can be matched against mail flow rules for different use cases.

Anti-cheat mode

Hoxhunt phishing simulation emails contain various headers that some of your more tech-savvy employees might utilize to automatically spot (but not automatically report) Hoxhunt simulations. You can omit all X-Hox headers from Hoxhunt simulations by enabling Anti-cheat mode.

NOTE: Custom header identifier and Custom email body identifier are not removed when Anti-cheat mode is enabled.

You can download a list of domains and subdomains used by Hoxhunt to send simulations to your organization. The list is also available via GraphQL API. Read more here: Hoxhunt sender domains
