Pin Hoxhunt button in Outlook for Web and New Outlook for Windows

If you are using Outlook for Web (OWA) or New Outlook for Windows, you can pin Hoxhunt button to your message toolbar for easier access.

UPDATE 20.03.2024: Admin-deployed add-ins are again automatically pinned to Outlook for Web and New Outlook for Windows. Should you have issues with Hoxhunt button's auto-pinning, please follow the steps in this article.

Pin Hoxhunt button to message toolbar

While in Outlook for Web, start by selecting any email so the preview pane opens.

1. Click the three dots.

2. Select Customize actions.

3. Tick the checkbox next to Hoxhunt button and click Save.

You can now access Hoxhunt button directly from message toolbar!

Frequently asked questions

Can admins pin Hoxhunt button on the users' behalf?

There's no manual method to do this, but admin-deployed add-ins are automatically pinned to Outlook for Web and New Outlook for Windows.

If I access the Customize Actions dialog via the top Settings icon, Hoxhunt button is not available for pinning. Why?

This is likely an oversight by Microsoft's design team. Please access the Customize Actions dialog as instructed above.

 

I can't find Hoxhunt button in the first place. Why is it so hard to find Hoxhunt button?

Microsoft in undergoing a major UI redesign across many of its Outlook clients, including Outlook for Web and New Outlook for Windows. Microsoft's goal is to gather all add-in under one place called Apps. All add-in you have added to Outlook by yourself are now placed in the Apps menu. Add-ins deployed centrally by your administators are automatically pinned to your message surface, as space permits.
