Unsubscribing from Hoxhunt training emails
Hoxhunt training is designed to help you recognize and respond to real-world phishing and social engineering attacks. By practicing in a safe environment, you build skills that protect both you and your organization from cyber threats.
For many organizations, Hoxhunt training is a mandatory part of their security program. In these cases, individual users cannot opt out of the training.
How to request an opt-out
If you wish to stop receiving Hoxhunt training emails, please contact your internal IT department or Security team.
Your organization manages all training enrollments and opt-out decisions. Hoxhunt Support is unable to process unsubscribe requests on behalf of individual users.
If your organization allows opt-outs, your internal team will handle the request according to their security policies.
Why Hoxhunt training matters
Cybercriminals continuously evolve their tactics. Phishing emails are designed to create urgency, curiosity, or fear — and even experienced professionals can be caught off guard.
Hoxhunt training:
Builds long-term awareness of social engineering techniques
Helps you recognize real phishing attempts before damage occurs
Strengthens your organization’s overall security posture
Provides a safe environment to practice identifying threats
At times, training simulations may trigger temporary reactions such as stress or uncertainty. This is intentional and reflects how real attacks are designed. Hoxhunt provides a safe way to develop your skills without real-world consequences.
After your training ends
If your organization approves your opt-out request, please continue reporting all suspicious emails using the Hoxhunt button. Reporting real threats remains an important part of keeping your workplace secure.
Want to stay in the training but be anonymous instead?
That's also possible! Please check this article on how to set yourself anonymous in Hoxhunt.
Turning yourself anonymous hides your name from the Leaderboards and prevents your name from being used in phishing simulation emails sent to your colleagues (if the co-worker feature is enabled in your company).
